Article on ‘leftover embryos’

The cover question of the Winter/Spring 2010 High Desert Pulse (published by the Bend Bulletin, of Bend, Oregon), is “You’ve had your baby. What’s to become of the leftover embryos?” Inside is an eight-page article, with some interesting observations, some of which are encouraging, and some that aren’t.

Hopefully some of these thorny issues will result in some ethics being pumped into the infertility industry. This article seems to further demonstrate that people are on some level aware that those embryos are people. It’s always amazed me that for some people the issue of personhood is dependent on their own personal interest at the time. It was an interesting article though.
