In mourning
Posted on: March 16, 2010
My friends, I apologize for leaving you wondering so long what might have become of me. The short answer is that my husband passed away a few weeks ago, and it took me to my knees. The slightly longer explanation is that as soon as word got out that David was seriously ill and in danger of dying, my friends, neighbors, and brothers and sisters in Christ stepped forward and encircled me with love and help and protection, and I have been, by and large, gratefully residing in the fort of loving-kindness they erected for me. I have also, quite frankly, been sometimes quite flattened with grief. David and I were inseparable for more than twenty years, and I miss him very much.

Kathryn, I am so very sorry. I will not forget to keep you in my prayers, that the Lord’s very presence, His love and grace, will be a real and tangible strength as you walk through this season of grief.
