Oct. 20 pro-life round-up

Posted on: October 20, 2008

Rabbi Mordechai Biser advises Orthodox Jews how to deal with a medical profession that increasingly devalues human life. The article is from 2004, and focuses on protecting old people and disabled people, but it has some good information, I think.

Physicians for Life (those would be some of the doctors who are bucking the trend noted above) has a story from right after World War II, in which a young woman who was dying of tuberculosis begged to be allowed to go home for Christmas, and… And if I said anything more I’m afraid I’d spoil the story of The Miracle from Within.

If you see students with red arm bands, and duct tape on their mouth tomorrow, that’s because tomorrow is this year’s Pro-Life Day of Solidarity, a project of Stand True. (hat tip: Alliance Defense Fund, which is standing by with free legal help for anyone who is blocked from, or punished for, participating.
