Catholic Bishop Robert J. Hermann discusses why it would be a privilege for a bishop to die if it would bring an end to abortion.

FYI: If you’re wondering where The Salvation Army stands on topics like abortion and human cloning, you can read its position statements here.

The Common Room has an update on Hailey Poutre, a little girl government officials wanted to take off life support back in 2006 after she was badly beaten. (Perhaps semi-related: In my neck of the woods, we’re celebrating the recovery of a young man prematurely written off by medical experts.)

Also from The Common Room, President Bush is trying to lay in some protections for pro-life health care providers before he leaves office. However, via the current NewsBytes links at LifeSiteNews, there’s some loud opposition, claiming all sorts of reasons he shouldn’t do that.

David Limbaugh disagrees with the folks who think the Republican party in the United States should abandon its ‘focus on abortion’ (among other things).
